This is the point where evolution of consciousness, the awakening of humanity, is no longer a luxury ...
Eckhart Tolle, author, The New Earth, The Power of Now

The restoration of our ‘thin skin of life’ is possible through a mainstream transformation to a deeper awareness based on an appreciation of biodiversity for the sake of life.
Scientists and policy makers agree it is imperative to expand awareness and energize people to create a new reality of health and balance that is sustainable. Right now, the sixth massive extinction crisis of living species is taking place on earth and requires our focused attention and immediate action. The most pressing issue of our time, it is of an order of magnitude not seen since the disappearance of the dinosaurs sixty-five million years ago. Scientists believe that this is not an act of nature but an unwitting human calamity that can be mitigated.
Physicist Fritoj Capra warns that by continuing to disrupt the precise living systems of the earth, humans place their own home and survival at great risk. Education is the key and this is education at its best – through a journey of the imagination into the heart.
Species status reports balanced by stories of everyday people doing extraordinary things to solve the ecological crisis bring a positive vision of the future into view. Global warming and pollution affect every aspect of biodiversity. “Climate protection”, says top energy expert Amory Lovins (Winning the Oil Endgame, 2008). “is not only possible but also profitable.” The United States can create clean renewable energy sources at home, rejuvenate the economy and provide meaningful work for our citizens at the same time.” Through interweaving powerful art with great and inspiring ideas and tales, we can make an impact.
Children of all ages can pause, feel their kinship with nature and realize that what is good for nature benefits them personally. In feeling this, a sustainable way of life filled with hope for all people can evolve based on kinship, awareness, innovation, cooperation, participation and renewal– the principles of ecology.
There is a way. There are countless ways home.
The most beautiful emotion we can experience is the mystical. It is the power of all true art and science.
Albert Einstein
WHY THIS WORK IS IMPORTANT
To our knowledge, this avant-garde interspecies exhibition is the first of its kind. Through Rama’s charismatic appeal, the unprecedented quality of the work, the experience of peace in the Grotto of Hope, science and stirring stories of ecological success and innovation - we can bring the earth into the hearts of mainstream people inspiring them to become stewards of what is to come.
An individual can hear about endangered species, habitat destruction and climate change forever, but for positive change to occur, this reality must be understood, felt and embodied as a living experience imbued with hope. It’s got to be personal to be ‘real’.
THE RAMA FOUNDATION
supports
the elevation of human consciousness,
the preservation of endangered species
and the restoration of habitats
through the dynamic integration of
art, ecology and education.
