THE GROTTO OF HOPE FOR THE MOTHERS OF EARTH
Is a stained glass sanctuary of endangered flora, fauna and their offspring. Here, amidst local native trees, plants and 36 stained glass panels, visitors will be guided through a multi-sensory visualization grounded in ecological research and timeless techniques of heart awakening.
Twelve large vertical stained glass windows lit from behind, hang in between the trees. Each window consists of three panels depicting endangered species from around the world including plants, reptiles, and animals. A stained glass skylight with the Sun, the Moon, and the Earth is suspended overhead. The panels will be handcrafted in the old world technique using the Tiffany (copper foil) method and hand-made glass.
