The Big Picture and the Butterfly Effect
In physics the butterfly effect describes how a small change in one part of a complex system can produce large effects in the long-term behavior of the system. It is likened to a butterfly that flaps its wings in Tokyo and subtly affects New York. We direct our energy in the right direction only when we feel our connection to the whole of life and know that what we do affects all that is. Our capacities to repair our living environment extend only as far as the limits of our consciousness. When the small story of your life is well lived, the great story of which you are a part expands.
